Liberty Cargo and special transportation service for Chester Zoo.

Liberty Cargo took on one of the most complex transportation services in the sector; that of transporting live animals. On the 14th June, we air freighted two pairs of carpenter starlings (Scissirrostrum dubium) of Asian origin to the North England Zoological Society at Chester Zoo, with pick up at Manchester airport. We looked for the most effective option for this special cargo. We chose to use a single case measuring 47 x 20 x 19cm with provision for food and water, so that the four birds could be flown in optimum conditions.
